dig me a grave and throw me in iti'm part cemetery;dig me a grave and throw me in it by LadyOfSilver
full of cigarette mud and
you read me when you run your fingers over
at some lopsided gravestone
i'm ashes of thoughts and blistered whiskey
tongue raw from the swearing and ridgeted sneers -
my lips bear stitches of moon-crater smoke
and you still kissed them.
i'm where you go to abandon your dying
you dig me up
shove death into my pores and I breathe the remnants out
just a hymn of worship to those who never earned it
with the last breath of charcoal still on their chapped lips
i'm here to suck them all
hungry and sea-like
my ocean floor is made of bones
and some of them are mine
I am brick-colored foam
here to swallow your (dead) weight
with the mouth of a gravedigger.
i often wonder if death is haunted by us too
A Snowy MadrigalSnow falls upon a mountainA Snowy Madrigal by NathanielFlyingOwl
And a wolverine lumbers
Along a pale northern slope
A savage hunger drives him,
Pushing him ever forward
Compelling him to survive
With vim he pursues a scent
His persistance far from spent
Strombotto Of LeafinessWhen at last an autumn leaf decides to strayStrombotto Of Leafiness by NathanielFlyingOwl
Endeavors to rend itself from the tree's hold
I long to be there, whether by night or by day
Beside any autumn arbor young or old
Providing sweet peace amid life's bitter fray
This leaf held close to my heart, lifeless and cold
This autumn leaf in silence sings a wild song
Foretelling the release of his kin in throngs
An American RispettoWith mocking gaze do we adoreAn American Rispetto by NathanielFlyingOwl
The "heroes" living on this earth
Celebrities who act like whores
And gain no more than pencil's girth
Still wild is poverty, and strong,
And it does not know right from wrong
Should we adore these people still
As they destroy our strength of will?
As our group name suggests we believe that photographs have a poetry all their own. In poetry the aesthetic and evocative power of language adds to the bare meaning of words. Likewise, photos have an expressive power beyond mere objective depiction.
It is our goal to gather the best photos out that evoke such a distinguished emotional and aesthetic response in the viewer and tell us a story all their own.
